Tearfund is looking for an experienced Programme Coordinator to work alongside its partners in Burundi.

The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of Tearfund’s involvement in the Programme in accordance with Tearfund's vision, strategy, policies and procedures. Key responsibilities include representing Tearfund in partner-facing work through building relationships with national Church leaders, government representatives, peer agencies donors and strategic partner organisations; the management of a partner portfolio; identifying financing opportunities from Institutional Donors and Trusts.

Successful candidates will have substantial experience in community development with a proven, successful record of strategic planning and thinking; project cycle management and fundraising; partner portfolio management; programme budget management; and ensuring compliance to donor and corporate systems and procedures. Candidates will have oral and written proficiency in French as well as being fluent and competent in written and spoken English. Experience of working on issues concerning sexual violence would be a distinct advantage.

This role will involve travel in Burundi.
