Objective:

GRI is currently looking for a Gender and Climate Change Specialist for long or short-term positions with an upcoming climate change project in Kenya.

Qualifications:

• Minimum ten (10) years experience with gender in climate change, WatSan or forestry projects, 15 years preferred
• Proven familiarity with REDD+, REDD+ Social and Environmental Standards, and Gender and Development (GAD)
• Relevant experience facilitating community consultations
• Experience managing food security projects a plus
• Experience managing income generation projects a plus
• Experience designing and delivering capacity building trainings
• Experience with data collection and gendered data analysis
• Strong management and organizational skills
• Experience working in Kenya required, Kenyan national preferred
• Professional level fluency in English required
