We are looking for exceptional, highly experienced Food Assistance Specialistto join our Ebola Response Team in Guinea.

You will be responsible for managing all food commodities and ensuring all food aid programs is implemented in line with the set standards and objectives. Emphasis will be on quality and accountability of all food and cash assistance, within the framework of Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) and Programme Quality Framework (PQF). You will need to co-ordinate with other Emergency Response team members and PLAN staff, especially Implementation Management, health and other relevant technical sectors, to ensure a rapid, proportionate and effective response.

Essential

·Proven years experience in emergency food assistance

·Extensive exposure to food aid programs management with international experience.

·Adequate knowledge and experience in food aid programs and donors standards appropriate to the management of the food programs.

·Knowledge of the Sphere standards, Code of Conduct for Red Cross/ Red crescent, Humanitarian Accountability Partnerships (HAPI) and other international humanitarian standards

·Experience in conducting initial rapid assessment of current situation in collaboration with local specialists to determine priorities and design a project based on this.

·Implement the project and develop M&E tools with periodic reporting

·Ability to manage livelihood, cash/voucher programming and knowledge of food sector is key

·Knowledge of Moderate Acute Malnutrition and Severe Acute Malnutrition

A strong leader, with the ability to make effective decisions quickly, you will be an experienced emergency Food Assistance Specialist with a demonstrable track record leading and managing emergency responses.

Excellent communication skills: Fluent in French
