Program Manager, South Africa

ACDI/VOCA is currently seeking a Program Manager for an upcoming three-year program in South Africa building the capacity of five local PEPFAR partner organizations to implement economic strengthening initiatives alongside their HIV prevention education programs. The program will target youth (ages 15-24) in Gauteng and KZN. The Program Manager will provide leadership, supervision, technical guidance, and representation for all program activities. The position is subject to ACDI/VOCA being awarded the program and is anticipated to begin October 2014. Specifically, the Program Manager will oversee interventions focused on building the capacity of the local organizations to deliver ES activities to youth around:

· Financial literacy

· Savings groups and other financial products

· Identifying, evaluating, and preparing for post-matric vocational tertiary training

· Workplace training and job guidance

· Entrepreneurship training

· Matching savings programs

Qualifications:

· At least five years of senior management experience, overseeing projects of a similar size

· Master’s degree in a relevant subject area preferred; Bachelor’s degree and additional years of experience accepted

· Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing economic strengthening initiatives

· Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing programs focused on building the capacity of local organizations to implement youth-targeted programming

· Experience with youth employability and financial training preferred

· Experience implementing USAID-funded projects and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations preferred; PEPFAR experience useful

· Fluency in English, written and spoken, required
